At The House of Life Clinic, we love supporting businesses that are not only organic but are committed to reducing the negative impact on the environment for our generation and those that follow.
We have specifically chosen honey from the pristine and pure regions of New Zealand to be paired with our Premium Tea Collection to ensure that you maximise the natural health benefits of both the tea and honey.
J Friend & Co untreated honey is all organic and natural, the process of their honey begins with the bees which pollinate single source flowers including Manuka, Pohutukawa, Lavender, Blackcurrant, Beechwood and White Clover. Bees take this back to their hives which are cared for by their specialist beekeepers, which is then extracted and created for you.
J Friend & Co untreated honey is unique for a few reasons;
We have paired a specific honey with one of our tea formula’s, ensuring that these combinations mix perfectly in flavour and by the medicinal properties. An example of this is our Sweet Surrender Relaxation and Sleep Herbal Tea is perfectly paired with the Lavender Honey creating a perfect balance to help relax and unwind before bed.
In addition to the 5 individual honeys of each single source flower, we are excited to stock the premium Manuka Keepers Reserve honey. It is independently tested to guarantee each batch contains at least 500mg of methylglyoxal per kg. Methylglyoxal is Manuka Honey’s major antibacterial component. Evidence supports that this active ingredient has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. As an example Manuka honey is best used for soothing sore throats, tonsillitis, cold and flu, improving digestive issues, pain and inflammation and improving overall immune health.
Dr. Marina’s philosophy is centred around the concept of using food as medicine and living in harmony with nature. To live intelligently requires that we understand the importance of respecting and protecting the environment. Furthermore, if this is our focus than it will make sense to act preventatively, when it comes to our health and know what substances are the building blocks to great health.
